NWTY II
Shot a year after NWTY, this piece shows how the city never stands still. What was once glossy and minimal has been layered over with tags, doodles, and spray paint – each new mark rewriting the last. NWTY II captures the passing of time etched into the wall itself.
Urban Collage is a series of street photographs that reveal hidden compositions in the urban environment. Each piece is captured entirely in-camera, with no manipulation beyond simple cropping and colour correction.
The series draws on years of experience as a graphic designer with a deep love of typography. That design training has shaped an instinct for composition – allowing EyeEyeMouth to recognise and frame moments of type, texture, and colour in the streets around him.
These works are never created by a single hand. A poster is pasted, graffiti is scrawled over it, another mark is added, and time itself weathers the surface. The result is a layered collaboration between artists, strangers, and the environment. EyeEyeMouth’s role is simply to find these fleeting moments and preserve them.
Like so much of his work, Urban Collage is about type, colour, texture, and composition. Each photograph is a snapshot in time – an urban story that will inevitably change, fade, or disappear entirely.
