EyeEyeMouth

EyeEyeMouth has spent much of his career as a designer, which explains his enduring love of typography. For him, no image feels complete until it carries some form of type.

What began in 2020 as a practice of documenting typography in the real world soon evolved into digital collages, and eventually into a series of NFT collections. The act of observing and capturing type, textures, colours, and street art became a form of mindfulness – an exercise in slowing down and noticing the beauty in everyday surroundings.

Alongside these urban discoveries, fragments from magazines and other printed media began to enter his work, giving his collages a tactile, traditional edge. His deep understanding of layout and composition runs throughout his portfolio, grounding each piece with clarity and intent.

Although there is a simplicity to much of his process, EyeEyeMouth embraces technology as an artistic tool. In his StreetView series, for example, compositions are crafted by collecting and layering multiple images of street art and typography sourced from Google’s Street View. This approach allows him to travel the world virtually in search of inspiration, while continuing to explore the interplay between typography, image, and place.
