STONY
aka Antonio Russo
Antonio is from a musical family that includes both classic rock and present rap, and he says that his art is an expression of his feelings and thoughts through the process of painting in reaction to musical compositions.
Without any prior ideas or expectations, he approaches the canvas in an effort to express himself freely, without constraints, restrictions, criticism, or, most importantly, fear. He would start each new painting with charcoal while the music was playing, then add haphazard strokes of colour and let his composition react naturally and unexpectedly to the beat of the music.
